Event Description:
This workshop will provide a solid
pedagogical foundation through demonstration and guided hands-on
practice on select applications. This workshop will focus on a
number of web 2.0 applications to capitalize on technology in
practical ways. Topics covered will include: collaborative writing
tools, multimedia tools for listening, speaking and feedback, and
creating an online classroom space. Please note that this
session is BYOD (bring your own device). Bring your laptop, tablet or
smartphone to this interactive workshop to explore various
applications in ways that serve your curriculum and student
needs.
本ワークショップではいくつかのアプリケーションについて実演をし、実際に利用してもらうことを通じて、それらのアプリケーションを教育現場に利用するた
めの基本をしっかりとお伝えします。本ワークショップはテクノロジーを実際に活用することを目的とし、多数のweb2.0のアプリケーションを中心に取り
上げます。共同的なライティングのツール、リスニングのためのマルチメディアツール、スピーキングとフィードバック、オンライン上のクラスルーム設立と
言ったトピックを予定しています。注意点:本ワークショップはインタラクティブなものであり、参加者自身がノートPCやタブレットをご持参になり、自分の
担当する学生や授業のカリキュラムにテクノロジーを活用するためのやり方を体験して頂くものです。本ワークショップはTESL
Canada 2015 symposiumでの発表を応用した形になる可能性があります。また、Videoant,
Send Ape, Titanpad, Speakpipe, Voicethread, Edmodo , and
Padlet.などのツールを取り入れることもあります。
Bio:
Joe Dobson is a Senior Lecturer the
TESL Program Coordinator in the Thompson Rivers University in BC,
Canada where he has been teaching for the past 14 years. He
currently teaches a range of courses including Intercultural
Communication , Curriculum and Instruction, and English for Academic
Purposes. He began his language teaching career in Sapporo in
1991 and while there taught at a number of institutions including
Sapporo Gakuin University and Sapporo University. He currently
serves as 1st Vice-President of BC TEAL, the provincial EAL teachers
association which serves approximately 1,000 members. His main
areas of interest include educational technology, intercultural
communication and teacher education.

programのコーディネーションを担当。同地での指導歴は14年。1991年札幌で英語を教え始める。札幌学院大学、札幌大学等複数の機関で指導。現
在はBC TEALの第一副校長。研究分野:教育的テクノロジー、異文化間コミュニケーション、教師教育
